Dr. SAURIN Shah
Dr. Saurin M Shah is a young, well-trained and enthusiastic Joint Replacement Surgeon practising in Ahmedabad. He launched the Walk Well Joint Replacement Centre a few years ago, which functions from the various hospitals to which he is attached. He has performed over 1400 joint replacements thus far. Dr. Saurin Shah did his graduation (MBBS) and post-graduation (MS Orthopaedics) in 2003 from BJ Medical College, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, ranking first in the institute. Subsequently he worked there as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics in 2004. He then went to Georg August University, Gottingen, Germany, in 2007, for a Fellowship in Arthroplasty and Reconstructive Orthopaedic Surgery, where he received intense advanced training in the field of joint replacement. He was also a Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at Calot Institute, Berck-sur-Mer, France, in the same year. Dr. Saurin Shah has ample experience and expertise in complex primary and revision replacement surgery. His meticulous surgical technique has resulted in an extremely high success rate, and many of his patients are able to walk on the very next day after surgery. Dr. Shah visited the European Knee Research Centre in Leuven, Belgium, in 2011 for advanced training in knee replacement. He was also a visiting fellow at the NHS, Manchester, and trained with renowned joint surgeon Dr. Klug at Yorkshire Clinic and Hospital, Leeds, UK. In addition he has visited Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital in Gwangju, South Korea, for advanced training in minimally invasive hip replacement.
